Spanish Fort is a small town community labeled “A City of Spirit” and a hidden jewel in Baldwin County Alabama residing on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay and the Alabama River Delta. The town is centrally located with interstate 10 running through which provides quick access to two airports in either direction. Mobile, Alabama is west of Spanish Fort and a 15 minute drive across Mobile Bay or head east on I-10 and be in Pensacola, Florida in less than 45 minutes. If you are seeking some beach time travel due south for a short drive and enjoy some of the Gulf Coast’s finest beaches. Major employers within a 60 minute commute or less are Airbus, Austal USA, Baldwin County Board of Education, Infirmary Health Systems, OWA & Thyssenkrupp Alabama to name just a few. Spanish Fort and the surrounding areas have a multitude of shopping options from specialty boutiques to outlets to everything in between. We truly are a sportsman’s paradise with the abundance of rivers, lakes and the gulf in which to fish, ski, surf or lounge.

When you are done shopping or need a break in between stores the dining establishments abound and are diverse enough to please any palate. The causeway that links Spanish Fort to Mobile hosts some of the finest fresh seafood around. Causeway fine dining like at Felix’s Fishcamp or for a more casual atmosphere swing by the The Bluegill which has great food and live entertainment. If Italian is your preference visit Trattorias on the north end of town and they have an awesome Sunday brunch as well.
Like to golf? Baldwin County has many nice golf courses to choose from but Spanish Fort is home to one of the best courses in the area Timbercreek which is a 27 hole championship course with a full service restaurant, pro shop and practice range. Or visit one of the Robert Trent Jones courses at Lakewood just south of Fairhope, AL and less than 20 miles from Spanish Fort.
Love the beach? A short drive and you can be on some of the most beautiful beaches on the Gulf Coast enjoying the sun, sand and lovely beach water. Whether you want to sunbath, fish, and/or visit local amusement parks, you will not be disappointed. Don’t forget to visit the Flora-Bama just east of Orange Beach or The Hangout in Gulf Shores
